Murdoch's Ranch & Home Supply Opens in San Angelo

Murdoch’s store manager, Anthony Rollwitz, is excited for the store and the community.

“I think it’s (Murdoch's) something different that the community needed,” Rollwitz said. “We are here not just as a partner of the community, but we are listening, we’re finding out what we can do to really integrate into the community. I’m local, I’ve been here 20 years. With that in mind, we’ve taken a lot of ideas so that we can be ready to serve as best as we can.”

Murdoch’s is taking “serving” to another level beginning Thursday, March 27, as they’ll have discounts for first responders for three days.

“With those discounts, it will provide a 10% discount to first responders. Then on (Saturday), we’ll also do a breakfast for first responders that come in just to make sure we’re taking care of those who take care of us,” Rollwitz said.

Murdoch’s is currently open, but they will be holding a grand opening on May 2-4, and they’ll be holding another big sale.

“It’s a huge event,” said Rollwitz. “We’re going to have food trucks and we’re going to have local vendors like Free Rein Coffee. We’re also going to have a bucket sale where you buy a bucket, you get 20% off anything that fits in it and 10% off anything that doesn’t. We’ll also have a bucket sale on April 5.”

Of course, with the San Angelo Rodeo right around the corner, there was incentive to open beforehand.

Rollwitz said, “There was big effort to open before the rodeo. We are partnering up with the Cinch Roping. We are going to be a supporter of them and one of the sponsors. When it comes to next year, we’re going to be all in on the rodeo.”

Murdoch’s Ranch & Home Supply is open Monday-Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. They are also dog friendly, but they will need a leash.
