Foundational Work on Smashers Nearly Complete

SAN ANGELO, TX— Concrete and plumbing work is nearing completion on San Angelo’s pickleball facility and restaurant, Smashers.

Crews were seen at 2521 Southwest Boulevard, the site of San Angelo’s new pickleball, tennis, and restaurant, Smashers. Concrete looks to be nearly complete or complete and pipes for the plumbing have gone into the foundational work.

Walls have yet to go up, but work is getting done on the business.

Smashers is a pickleball/tennis facility with an attached bar and grill. It will have seven indoor and two outdoor pickleball courts, one indoor tennis court, a full bar and restaurant, and over 10,000 square feet of outdoor/playground space.

Owners JC and Amber Gallagher spoke to San Angelo LIVE! and said they were inspired after playing in the “Dink for Pink” pickleball tournament at Bentwood in October 2023.

They expect, barring any setbacks, Smashers to open during the Summer 2025.
