Award-Winning Texas Winery Expanding to Downtown San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – English Newsom Cellars, a Lubbock-based winery known for its award-winning Texas wines, is set to open a new location in downtown San Angelo.

The expansion brings one of Texas’ most recognized wineries, previously named Texas Winery of the Year in both 2020 and 2021 by the New York International Wine Competition, to the Concho Valley.

The new wine bar will be located at 16 E. Concho Ave. and will offer visitors a selection of English Newsom’s estate-grown wines, which are produced from grapes cultivated in the Texas High Plains.

The winery prides itself on its commitment to quality, with a process that keeps the winemaking entirely on-site at its Lubbock vineyard.

To introduce its selection to the San Angelo community, English Newsom Cellars will host a tasting event on March 15 at Brews, Ewes, & BBQ, where guests can sample its wines.

More details about the opening are expected to be announced soon.
