Mexican Food Restaurant Relocates to North Side of San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX — After being closed for nearly three weeks, Gil’s Restaurant has reopened at its new location at 3020 N. Chadbourne St.

The Mexican restaurant, which spent 19 years at its previous location at 837 Knickerbocker Road, is taking over the building that was occupied by La Historia Restaurant.

Gil’s Restaurant closed on Dec. 29 and reopened on Jan. 18.

The restaurant posted the following on its Facebook page last month:

“It is with a mix of excitement and nostalgia that we announce the relocation of our beloved restaurant. Our current location has been more than just a place of business; it has been a second home where countless memories have been made. We are deeply grateful for the support and loyalty you have shown us over the years.

“Our family has cherished every moment spent serving you, celebrating special occasions, and building a community that feels more like an extended family. The laughter, conversations, and shared meals have created a bond that we hold dear to our hearts.

“As we move to our new location, we carry with us the spirit and warmth that have defined our restaurant. We are excited about this new chapter and the opportunity to continue providing the same quality and care that you have come to expect. We hope to see you at our new location, where we will strive to create even more wonderful memories together.

“Thank you for being a part of our journey. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to welcoming you to our new home.”
