Trimac Acquires Watt & Stewart, Expands Flatbed Fleet

SAN ANGELO, TX – Canadian bulk hauler Trimac Transportation has announced the acquisition of flatbed carrier Watt & Stewart, adding 124 tractors and 205 trailers to its operations.

The deal, finalized Wednesday, involves locations in Claresholm, Alberta; Lexington, South Carolina; and San Angelo, Texas.

Watt & Stewart, a 38-year-old company, specializes in serving the mining, forestry, and manufacturing industries. Despite the acquisition, it will continue to operate under its existing name and management team as part of Trimac’s portfolio.

“Watt & Stewart is a remarkable company with a proud history, and we are honored to carry forward their legacy while working together to achieve new heights,” said Matt Faure, Trimac’s president and CEO, in a statement. “Together, we’re better positioned to serve our customers and drive growth across North America.”

Trimac operates in over 140 locations across the United States and Canada.
