Sosa was raised in a military family where his parents instilled in him the values of hard work and determination. As a student-athlete, Sosa attended Texas A&M University and earned letters in cross country and track and field. He graduated with a business degree from the Mays School of Business before going on to earn a master’s degree and a PhD in sport management. Sosa then pursued a law degree at Thurgood Marshall School of Law where he excelled in both academics and mock trial competitions. Sosa began his legal career at the Harris County Public Defender’s Office in Houston where he dedicated himself to serving others. Before joining Webb, Stokes & Sparks, he served as First Assistant at the Concho Valley Public Defender’s office in San Angelo. Over the course of his 10 years as a public defender, Sosa successfully handled a wide range of high-stakes cases and built a reputation as a client-focused trial attorney who relentlessly fights for his clients’ best interest.
Sosa, a graduate and faculty member of Gerry Spence’s Trial Lawyers College, is highly regarded for training emerging trial lawyers and U.S. Military JAG Corps lawyers in trial skills. He is frequently sought for his expertise in complex cases, particularly in trial preparation, and holds the ACS Lawyer-Scientist Designation. With specialized knowledge in intoxication cases developed through advanced training at the Axion Training Institute in Chicago, Sosa is a trusted resource for fellow attorneys seeking guidance on intoxication and drug-related legal issues.
Sosa has deep roots in the San Angelo community with both of his parents being graduates of Central High School and Angelo State University.
