Crews Continue Work on San Angelo's Pickleball Facility

 

SAN ANGELO, TX— Plumbing work and foundational work are getting done at Smashers.

Smashers, an indoor/outdoor pickleball facility with a restaurant has begun plumbing work as construction crews were seen working on the building. Smashers will have seven indoor and two outdoor pickleball courts, an indoor tennis court, a fast casual restaurant and full bar, and a 10,000 square foot outdoor play are for kids.

In the November 2024 Building and Inspection report, a $5 million permit was issued to Smashers to begin construction.

Owners JC and Amber Gallagher spoke to San Angelo LIVE! and said they were inspired after playing in the “Dink for Pink” pickleball tournament at Bentwood in October 2023. They expect, barring any setbacks, Smashers to open during the Summer 2025.
