Battery Franchise Expands in West Texas with 5 New Stores

 

ODESSA, TX - Batteries Plus, a specialty battery franchise, has awarded a five-unit franchise deal to expand its footprint in West Texas.

Liz and Jay McKee, the couple awarded the franchise rights, will open new stores in Odessa, Midland, Lubbock, Abilene, and Big Spring. The first location is scheduled to open in Odessa by the end of the first quarter of 2025.

The McKees bring decades of experience to their new venture, according to a news release. Jay McKee has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years, holding positions in sales and production across California, New Mexico, and Texas. Liz McKee has dedicated more than 30 years to direct sales, spending the last 13 years at a chemical company.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in Hartland, Wisconsin, Batteries Plus operates more than 800 locations across the United States. The company is known for its services including cell phone and key fob repair.
