Today's Computer Network Glitch was not a Cyber Attack, says Crowdstrike

SAN ANGELO, TX — Despite Alex Jones's prediction, this morning's outage of cloud-based computing services was not caused by a cyber attack. But it did take out the payment system at the San Angelo Water Department as well as the cash registers at Starbucks. Here's Alex Jone's montage of his predictions:

The calamity was caused by a botched update rolled out by cybersecurity vendor CrowdStrike. The company provides security services to "cloud-native" computing platforms. According to CrowdStrike, the culprit this morning was its product called CrowdStrike Falcon. This product detects suspicious activity around a client's computer network or cloud systems and applies immediate and automated remediation.

The update caused servers with Windows-based operating systems to crash due to what the company called its "Falcon Sensor." It did not affect Linux- or MacOS-based systems.

Remediation required network engineers to boot the Windows server in safe mode with network connectivity and delete a "channel file," or *.sys file, created before 0527 UTC. CrowdStrike Statement
