AUSTIN, TX — The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) unveiled the schedule for the 2024 season of the Texas Conference for Employers (TCE) on Tuesday, and the conference will be in San Angelo on Friday, September 6, 2024.
Sponsored by TWC's Office of the Commissioner Representing Employers, this series provides a valuable platform for employers, managers, and human resource professionals to stay abreast of new and current employment laws, earn education credits, network with peers, and engage in one-on-one discussions with employment attorneys.
The TCE series equips attendees with practical information essential for operating successful businesses and mastering techniques to manage employees effectively.
TWC Commissioner Representing Employers Joe Esparza commented, “Texas employers are poised to thrive and expand in 2024. As they gain momentum, I encourage them to take advantage of these learning opportunities and equip themselves with new and updated information about state and federal employment laws and the unemployment process.”
Every Texas employer is urged to attend annually to acquire current, relevant information about legal issues associated with operating a business in the state. Geared toward small business owners, HR managers and assistants, payroll managers, and those responsible for hiring and managing employees, the topics are carefully selected based on common inquiries received by TWC from employers.
Virtual and in-person options are now available for each scheduled event, spanning through September 2024. The inaugural conference is set to take place in Mesquite on Friday, Feb. 2, 2024. To access the list of confirmed locations and register, visit the TWC Texas Conference for Employers webpage.
