SAN ANGELO, TX - Buttercup Cafe has announced that its doors will remain open for business after previously stating that it would be ending operations.
At the beginning of December, the business announced that its doors would close on Saturday, Dec. 23.
"With heavy hearts, we find ourselves at the end of a chapter,” the business previously stated. “We have spent the last year looking for the next owner(s) to shepherd Buttercup into the future.”
Now the business has stated, “Well, this is awkward…. remember when we announced that Buttercup would close on the 23rd? Well, we have some good news for you, we take that closure back! After we made that announcement, an interested party came forward because they want to take the reins.”
According to the business, it will be closed for Christmas from the 24th and 25th.
“We will be open again on the 26th,” Buttercup stated. “Watch for further announcements as we work out the details of the sale.”
Sources tell us that Buttercup was purchased and will be under new ownership. More news will break once the purchase is completed.
