City Offices Closed Friday for Veteran's Day

SAN ANGELO – Most City of San Angelo offices will be closed Friday in observance of Veterans Day.  

Veterans Day honors the service of all U.S. military veterans. The public is invited to attend the annual Veterans Day Commemorative Ceremony at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, at Fairmount Cemetery, 1120 W. Ave. N.

Most City offices will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day. There will be no interruption of garbage collection or landfill operations. City offices will reopen Monday, Nov. 13.

Among the City operations closed Nov. 10: Station 618 and Santa Fe Crossing senior centers, Southside and Carl Ray Johnson recreation centers, the San Angelo-Tom Green County Health Department, Fairmount Cemetery’s business offices, Municipal Court and the San Angelo Animal Shelter.

The Women, Infants & Children (WIC) office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 9, in addition to its normal Friday closure.

Fort Concho, including the Barracks 1 Visitor Center, will remain open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 10 for self-guided tours. Veterans and their family members will receive free admission.
