Construction on Howard St. Shifts Closure Monday

SAN ANGELO – Construction on Howard St. in west San Angelo continues Monday and will shift the closure and detours a few blocks.  

According to the City of San Angelo, starting Monday, Howard will be closed from Glenwood to Lindell.  

The Howard Street project continues construction next week with utility and roadway work.

1) Road closure

Where: Howard Street from Glenwood Drive to Lindell Avenue.

When: Monday, Oct. 30, to Monday, Nov. 6. Road will reopen to traffic temporarily 6 p.m. Friday and close again Monday.

*The completion date for the project is set for spring 2024. Road will reopen to traffic during weekends and close again Monday morning at a new block. Future block closures will be announced when available.

2) Road closure

Where: Howard Street Glenna Drive to Wilson Street. No through traffic will be permitted on Field, Chapman and Wilson streets, nor any alleys in between.

When: Monday, Oct. 30, to Monday, Dec. 4.
