Newest Korean BBQ Joint Moves Closer to Opening

SAN ANGELO, TX – The newest Korean BBQ restaurant in San Angelo is getting closer to opening.

As previously reported, in Oct. 2022, Ryan and Ronald Cheng moved to San Angelo with the goal of opening GoGo Gogi in the former China Garden building. For the original story, see: Everything We Know About the Future of San Angelo's Former China Garden Restaurant

After a year of construction and renovations, the two are just about ready to open. First, however, they will need to hire an entire staff to work at the BBQ joint.

"Open interviews for all positions will be held during the week of October 16th. To apply, please visit our website at gogogogibbb.com and download the application," stated a sign on the front door. "We're excited to meet potential candidates during this time. Best of luck to all applicants!"

No official opening date for the location has been revealed as of yet. From the looks of the inside, some projects are still yet to be completed.

The location is at College Hills and Loop 306. Typically, Korean BBQ is cooked tableside. It is unknown if this GoGo Gogi will offer this service.
