Howard St. Construction Continues This Week

 

SAN ANGELO – The reconstruction of Howard St. in west San Angelo moves to a new section Monday according to information from the City of San Angelo.  

The Howard Street project continues utility construction the week of Oct. 9. 

Where: Howard Street will be closed from Jomar Street to Stanton Street. 

When: Monday, Oct. 9, to Monday, Oct. 16. Road will reopen to traffic temporarily 6 p.m. Friday and close again Monday. 

The completion date for the full project is set for spring 2024. Road will reopen to traffic during weekends and close again Monday morning at a new block. Future block closures will be announced when available. 

The Howard St. project is part of the ongoing ten year, $80 million street rehab project by the City which began with MLK and Bell St. and has included Southwest Blvd. and College Hills which is still under construction.
