Island Cafecito Bringing Caribbean Flavors to San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, TX – A San Angelo business is looking to bring Island flavors to the Concho Valley.

Island Cafecito, located at 1015 Caddo St., has recently opened. The business, owned by the James family, features a ton of Island Flavors such as Jamaican Patties, Pastelitos, Croquetas, and more.

Ivan James and his family moved to San Angelo a few years back from Miami. Since living here, they have been operating the radio station KJVI Mix 105.7. Now, Ivan and his two daughters have teamed up to open the island-style coffee shop.

When talking about coffee, the cafecito has it all. They offer Cuban and Puerto Rico-style coffees. James confirmed that they ship in the coffee weekly. They also have an interesting Malta India, which is a Caribbean non-alcoholic malt beverage.

Island Cafecito is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
