SAN ANGELO, TX – Crews have begun clearing the land across from TLCA High School on Loop 306 near the Creek 27 apartment complex that will become a massive storage unit complex.
As previously reported, in Apr. 2023, the San Angelo City Council approved the construction of X-Storage at the corner of Melrose and the Loop 306 frontage road. For the original article see: Two New Storage Unit Facilities Are Coming to San Angelo
Now, after months of nothing, crews have begun clearing and leveling out the land. The facility will be fairly large, so construction will take some time. No official opening date has been announced.
This location is directly across the street from TLCA High School. The owner is based out of Lubbock.

PermalinkThe plan is to use these storage units for the vagrants after folks get tired of paying out the gazoo to store mostly junk.

PermalinkMaybe we could shelter a light battalion of homeless migrant children (16 - 21 year old males) there. It's next to a school, so they would be heartened by the opportunity to expand the bounds of their understanding, planting the seeds of passionate engagement with human progress in the minds of future doctors, engineers, and quantum biologists.

PermalinkFor 75 bucks a month a person can rent a sea container 10 times larger than any of these storage units and place it on their very own property. Why on earth would we need another storage business in TGC. What we need is ANOTHER chicken shack....
