Howard St. Closed for Construction Starting Monday

 

SAN ANGELO – Howard St. will be closed for construction on the Edmond Blvd. end beginning Monday, Sept. 4. 2023 according to the City of San Angelo.  

City officials say construction will take place weekdays and the road will be open on weekends when possible.  

Construction has begun on the project to rebuild the roadway from Edmund to Pecos St. 

Where: Howard Street will be closed from Chapman Street to Greenwood Street. Thru traffic will be permitted on Chapman Street and Greenwood Street, but not on Wilson Street.

When: Monday, Sept. 4, to Monday, Sept. 11. Road will reopen to traffic temporarily 6 p.m. Friday and close again Monday.

The completion date for the full project is set for spring 2024. The road will reopen to traffic during weekends and close again Monday morning at a new block. Future block closures will be announced when available.
