Adios (Tres) Amigos; Busy Convenience Store Closed by New Owners

SAN ANGELO – The convenience store next to the 'old' H-E-B at the 5-way intersection  of College Hills Blvd. and Ave. N closed last week.

According to a sign on the door, the busy convenience store that was owned by Tres Amigos before being purchased by Allsup's last year, will not re-open.

The sign on the closed door reads:

"Our last day of business will be August 20th, 2023.  It has been an honor and a pleasure to be a part of this community! We thank all of you for your business and support and would love to continue to serve you and one of our other locations!

As we reported last September, Allsup's purchased all of the Tres Amigos Convenience stores in West Texas.

No word yet on what will become of the popular location.  The property does not appear to be for sale, but it is in the H-E-B parking lot and the San Antonio based Texas grocery store chain has a history of pursuing business ventures outside of its traditional grocery stores.

The retailer recently added ten new Tesla Electric Vehicle chargers to its newest location in San Angelo on Sherwood Way at FM-2288.
