BREAKING: San Angelo Nature Center Closes Permanently

 

SAN ANGELO – The San Angelo Nature Center at Lake Nasworthy has closed permanently.  

According to the City of San Angelo, the San Angelo Nature Center, 7409 Knickerbocker Road, has closed permanently as of Thursday, July 27, largely due to federal regulations, building requirements and staffing. 

The majority of non-venomous reptiles will be relocated locally to Mad Mouse Zoodio, while the venomous reptiles will be relocated to a facility in Edna, Texas. All mammals have or will also be relocated to new homes.
