The Dirtiest Restaurants in Town

SAN ANGELO, TX – The City of San Angelo's Health Department sent out an updated list of the cleanest and dirtiest restaurants in town.

The following businesses scored lower than a 90 on their most recent health inspection:

  • Allsups Deli at 514 N. Main - Score 74
  • Craving Crab at 4509 Sherwood Way - Score 79
  • Diego's Burritos at 3102 Knickerbocker Rd. - Score 88
  • Gil's Restaurant at 837 Knickerbocker Rd. - Score 88
  • Holiday Inn Express at 4613 Houston Harte Ex. - Score 86
  • Jack and Jill Donuts at 2019 Sherwood Way - Score 83
  • Julio's Burritos at 1911 S Chadbourne - Score 89
  • Long John Silver's at 3121 Sherwood Way - Score 76
  • Mathis Field Cafe at 8618 Terminal Cir. - Score 89
  • Panchita's Tortilla Factory at 2504 N Chadbourne - Score 86
  • Pho Cowboys at 2001 W Harris - Score 71
  • Rosa's at 4235 Sherwood Way - Score 89
  • Roxie's Diner 4609 S. Jackson - Score 87
  • Shogun Steak and Sushi at 4397 Sherwood Way - Score 88
  • The Dogfather at 210 S. Chadbourne - Score 83
  • What Da Pho at 3315 Sherwood Way - Score 76

The City Health Department suggests context to viewing the scores where anything less than 11 "demerits" is considered "Excellent." For example, "[A] convenience store with only pre-packaged food items does not involve the same processes as a full service restaurant."

On the positive side, these establishments scored a 90 or above ("Excellent") during an inspection in May 2023:
