SAN ANGELO, TX — Discover San Angelo, a department of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, is excited to announce the first San Angelo Travel and Adventure Show is set to take place on Thursday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Fort Concho Stables, 210 Henry O’Flipper. This exciting event will be held in honor of National Travel and Tourism Week and feature a host of attractions and exhibits designed to educate and inspire attendees about the wonders of travel and adventure.
Discover San Angelo is the brand name for the city's Destination Marketing Organization. The DMO, formerly called the Conventions Visitors and Tourism organization, is tasked to market San Angelo as a destination for such.
The San Angelo Travel and Adventure Show is free to the public and offers the opportunity to learn about the many amazing tourism attractions and destinations that can be found right here in San Angelo. This event will provide a platform for travel partners to showcase their services and products, and to connect with travel enthusiasts and adventure-seekers.
The DMO believes that marketing San Angelo as a travel destination includes informing those who live here about the major attractions. Word of mouth advertising is very effective.
