SAN ANGELO – The McDonald's Restaurant on Southwest Blvd. was closed on May 27, 2022 to make way for a brand new building and today that new facility is close to being completed.
As we reported earlier, in the April 2022 report on building permits and inspections, the location was listed in the pending section as a $750,000.00 remodel project.
A sign posted on the door stated that the location would be suspending operations beginning May 27, 2022.

McDonald's purchased the lot next door on the corner that used to be a convenience store. The store was demolished and now the new McDonald's restaurant is almost complete using both lots.

The new McDonald's on Southwest Blvd. appears to be nearing completion and should be opening in the coming weeks. There is a sign up indicating the company is paying $14 an hour with sign on bonuses.
The exact opening date has to been announced.
