San Angelo Warming Shelter Opens Monday Evening

 

SAN ANGELO – The City of San Angelo is opening the Waring Shelter each day this week because of the subfreezing temperatures associated with the winter storm.   

The City of San Angelo will be opening a warming shelter from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. each night beginning Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 3, at Carl Ray Johnson Recreation Center, 1103 Farr St. 

Volunteers are needed to help run the warming shelter; sign up at signup.com/go/rwfuiKv. The American Red Cross will provide cots. 

Animals are permitted but must not be aggressive or disruptive.
