WATCH: San Angelo Area Jeep Clubs Lead Annual First Responders Thank You BBQ

 

SAN ANGELO – San Angelo area jeep clubs joined bike and car enthusiasts Saturday for a rally and BBQ to raise money for a special cause.  

The annual First Responders Thank You BBQ was held in the parking lot of Celebration Church on Sunset at Sul Ross as a thank you to police officers, firefighters, Sheriff's deputies, EMTs, Volunteer Fire Department's and all first responders.

Organizers Matt Hodges and Jeana Owens spoke with San Angelo LIVE! about the event.  Owens says they are raising money for ten area Volunteer Fire  Department's this year because of the ongoing wildfire situation.

The Saturday celebration included a pulled pork lunch, a raffle and tours of San Angelo emergency vehicles for the kids.  The morning began with a rally and ride from downtown San Angelo to the Celebration Church parking lot under a huge American Flag.
