SAN ANGELO, TX – Construction crews have officially broken ground on the highly anticipated Chipotle Mexican Grill on S. Jackson St. just off Knickerbocker Rd.
As previously reported, in Feb. 2022, the City of San Angelo's building permit's department approved a $300,000 permit to build a brand new Chipotle on the 3500 block of S. Jackson St. next to Cane's Chicken. For the original report see: Here's Where Chipotle Mexican Grill Will Be in San Angelo
Crews have now placed a fence around the property and have broken ground where the building will eventually stand.

The Manager of External Communication for Chipotle confirmed that the store should be open at some point in the summer of 2022. Check out a video below of the location
Chipotle is a Mexican grill that offers a variety of burritos, burrito bowls, salads and more. All of their items are made to order right in front of you. San Angelo previously had a similar type restaurant, Freebirds, which was located on the corner of W. Avenue N and Sherwood Way.
