Huge Superbowl Watch Party Planned at Downtown San Angelo Brewery

SAN ANGELO, TX — From 1-10 p.m. tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 13, football fans can try out Plateau Brewing Co.’s newest beer selection, enjoy a special nacho bar from Southern Smoke barbecue, and test their luck at the chance to win in a contest of Super Bowl Squares. A portion of the Super Bowl Square proceeds will be donated to the community family shelter.

The game will be displayed on all of the taproom’s big screens and patrons are invited to purchase Super Bowl Squares until kickoff at 5:30 p.m. When guests buy a square for just $30, they will be positioned to win big. For those feeling lucky, squares can be purchased in the brewery’s taproom or by Venmo (@plateaubrew214). For those purchasing via Venmo, squares will be assigned at random. Guests are not required to be present to qualify to win.

Because no Super Bowl Watch Party is complete without good food, Southern Smoke Barbecue, located inside Plateau Brewing Co.’s taproom, will offer a special game time nacho bar featuring slow-roasted pork or fan-favorite ground brisket, homemade guacamole, fresh pico de gallo and more. These offerings will be in place of the restaurant’s normal Texas barbecue fare.

The owners of Plateau Brewing Co. said they they support the good work local nonprofits are doing on behalf of our community. That’s why half of the proceeds from each Super Bowl Square purchased will go to San Angelo’s NewBridge Family Shelter to provide emergency shelter, services, and guidance to victims of domestic violence and their families. The NewBridge Family Shelter has been providing these services in our community for more than 30 years. Domestic violence is the top cause of calls for service by our local law enforcement officers.

And to further the good work done by the Family Shelter, Plateau Brewing Co. is promoting the Shelter’s “liquid drive” by inviting guests to bring a household liquid such as bleach, dish soap, gallon bottled water, Pine Sol, Fabuloso, cooking oil, etc. in exchange for $1 off their first pint of home brewed beer.
