Local Veterans Group to Host Fund Raiser This Weekend

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – This weekend the Texas Veterans for Veterans will be holding a fund raiser to help raise money for local vets.

The following is a press release from the Texas Veterans for Veterans located at 1905 Pulliams St.

The San Angelo chapter of Texas Veterans for Veterans will be holding a fund raiser of Saturday, Nov. 13 and Sunday, Nov. 14 at various area businesses.

Members will be stationed at entries and exits of all Wal-Marts and Neighborhood Markets, HEBs, Market Street, and Westlake Ace Hardware soliciting cash donations as well as selling Texas Vets for Vets shirts, caps and assorted merchandise.

This is one of our major fund raisers held annually to generate revenue to support our local mission. All monies collected stay in San Angelo and the surrounding area and are used to assist Texas veterans as well as their family members and surviving spouses.

We are Texas veterans who are dedicated to serving veterans and they families in our community and throughout West Texas. Our local members have proudly served our country in foreign wars ranging from WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm to Irag and Afhanistand. And now we serve our fellow veterans.

We assist veterans with guidance in obtaining their military benefits and provide supportive community of shared experiences through weekly meetings. We participate in community outreach projects for veterans and offer a college scholarship program.
