Frozen Out: Popular San Angelo Frozen Yogurt Shop Closing

SAN ANGELO,TX – A San Angelo Frozen Yogurt Shop announced Wednesday it is closing permanently.

In a Facebook post, Janet and Tommy Lay announced that on August 8th, 2021, they will be retiring and closing TJ’s Frozen Yogurt and Gourmet Coffee, located at 3347 Knickerbocker Road.

Janet Lay, owner of TJ’s Frozen Yogurt and Gourmet Coffee said, “We're retiring.”

While TJ’s owners are retiring, frozen yogurt is staying in San Angelo.

“We are closing this location. We have the equipment we think all sold...I can’t really release the information about who’s taking it over. They own a restaurant and they will either move it into their restaurant or they will put a TJ’s downtown. But it won’t be us.” Lay said.
