SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo Chamber of Commerce celebrated the opening of a new authentic Italian restaurant Wednesday morning with a ribbon cutting.
The new business, Mamma Changs, owned by San Angelo's Adrian Soto, held a soft opening at the beginning of July but is now fully open. The restaurant offers a number of items such as create your own pasta dish, salad options, and so much more.
Mama Changs is the second restaurant from Senior Chang's food truck.
The menu includes Italian items with a twist such as Mozzarella Egg Rolls, Texas Pecan Pesto sauce, and Mamma's Mac and Cheese. Mamma Changs also offers a number of different Cannolis like a cookie cannoli and a dark chocolate cannoli.

Soto says the concept of the restaurant is to offer fresh Italian food at a fast pace. With that in mind Soto and his team created what they call "Take and Bake" plates. The "Take and Bake" dishes come in a number of varieties like Baked Ziti and Cheesy Chicken Florentine.
The idea of the dishes were to give families something to take home and cook in the oven. Most dishes take less than 30 minutes to cook.
San Angelo Chamber of Commerce members attended the event including a number of the Chamber's Cadre, Vice President of the Convention & Visitors Bureau Diann Bayes, and President Walt Koenig.
"Great restaurants make a great community and you certainly are promoting that and developing that with us," said Koenig.
Mamma Changs is open Monday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and then 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. They are located at the corner of Van Buren and Freeland Ave.
