SAN ANGELO, TX – Three women from the Concho Valley have teamed up to bring a high-end fitness studio to San Angelo.
According to Kayla Willman a part owner of Pure Barre, on Jun. 7, the fitness center will officially open its doors to the public for fitness classes.
The gym offers three different class types including their classic workout which is a fast, effective, low impact full body workout. Classes will run around an hour long and are focused to make muscles long and lean.
There are a number of Pure Barres in Texas with most of them being in larger cities. Willman says that they are wanting to bring this into San Angelo because of Pure Barre's programs.
"Our mission is to be a destination for people of all shapes, sizes and ages, to empower their body and mind through a supportive community," said Willman.
Willman and her two partners, Jessica Theimer and Tracy Armstrong, are from the Concho Valley; two being from Big Lake and one being from Wall. She hopes that this will increase their chances of being successful.
"Here it's very personable and it's almost like a big community of family," said Willman.
Classes at Pure Barre are fairly small with only 12-13 people being able to workout at one time but what they lack in size they gain in efficiency. At Pure Barre they are able to pump six classes a day, seven days a week.
Pure Barre will also be selling high end workout clothes from designers like lulu lemon.
The fitness center is located at 2609 Johnson st. in the newly built shopping center off of University.
