San Angelo Heff's Burgers Will Open in May

SAN ANGELO, TX – Heff's Burgers announced Thursday that the restaurant will be opening the new San Angelo location in May 2021.

According to Wyatt Hurt, President of Heff's Burger, the restaurant is set to open on May 10 after more than a year after construction began. San Angelo LIVE! covered the original ground breaking in Jul. 2018. See: Heff's Burgers Breaks Ground on Sherwood Way

"Our current scheduled opening date is May 10th. It has changed a few times due to weather and construction delays but we feel pretty good this is an accurate date at this stage," said Hurt in an interview.

Heff's was previously in San Angelo and was located in front of the Inn of the Conchos at 2021 N Bryant Blvd. It was there for a number of years until financial hardship forced owner Brenda Heffernan to close the burger joint. Hurt has hopes in this restaurant and doesn't think anything in the past will be relevant today.

"As far as doing better than the previous Heff’s; we believe that is comparing apples and oranges," said Hurt. "We are very excited about a new location in a new building. We expanded our menu since the last location closed, we are adding breakfast to our menu and will have a drive through."

Heff's offers a variety of burgers but also has chicken sandwiches and salads. They offer a number of other items as well. Hurt confirmed that San Angelo's restaurant will offer breakfast. On no other Heff's location menu do they offer breakfast. To view their menu visit their website here.

Heff's will be located at 2902 Sherwood Way.
