SAN ANGELO, TX – San Angelo is getting ready to welcome a new locally owned and operated brewery and beer distributor later this year and the company has announced it will also be serving bar-b-que.
Plateau Brewing Co. is a Texas-centric brewery that has deep roots in West Texas. The company was founded by four partners and they are focused on celebrating craft beer and having a role in the conservation of the state.
As the brewery works on its grand opening, the founders are also working on bringing delicious food options for their customers. With that in mind, the founders announced a partnership with Southern Smoke BBQ.
Southern Smoke BBQ is a barbecue carter based out of Marathon, TX and will work hand-in-hand with the brewery to pair crave-worthy craft beer and nostalgic Texas barbecue to downtown San Angelo.
“Bringing craft beer and delicious food together is as much of an art as it is a science,” said Dan Adney, Head Brewer and one of the Brewery’s four founding partners. “I’m looking forward to working with Southern Smoke to build out the perfect pairings of beer and barbecue and to round out the Plateau Brewing experience. We’re chomping at the bit to get started.”
Southern Smoke BBQ currently offers items such as barbecue chicken, smoked sausage, ribs, and brisket. They also offer pork belly sliders, smoked chicken salad, and a variety of sandwiches.
“Every time you leave Plateau Brewing Co. with some Southern Smoke barbecue, we hope you take with you that warm feeling of a Texas meal served up the way it’s been for generations,” said Southern Smoke BBQ Pitmaster Blake Woodson. “We want you to remember the aroma of the burning oak, the cold beer, the smiles and laughter of Texas neighbors, and the feeling all of it leaves you with.”
Plateau Brewing Co. will be located at 214 South Chadbourne St.
