SAN ANGELO, TX – City of San Angelo officials announced Thursday that trash service will resume Friday morning.
According to the COSA public information office, Republic Services will begin running trash collection routes Friday.
Here is the information from the city:
Commercial collections will start at 9 a.m. Friday
The initial commercial efforts will focus on commercial customers such as hospitals, retirement living, etc.
Industrial (roll-off containers, compactors) collections will start at 9:30 a.m. Friday
Industrial collection focuses on hospitals, retirement living and grocery stores.
Residential collections will start at 10 a.m.
The Thursday route will be collected on Friday and the Friday route will be serviced on Saturday. The collection trucks will operate in the areas where road conditions will allow for safe operation. There are concerns about The Bluffs neighborhood due to elevation changes and road conditions. If it is unsafe to service tomorrow, this area will be pushed to Saturday for collection.
*Recycling and bulk will both be operating, as well.
Commercial and residential collection services will have additional manpower and trucks to ensure service to all residents. We are aware of the additional waste that has accumulated due to weather-related service interruptions and will be working diligently to get everything removed as soon as possible. Please leave your carts and additional bagged waste at the curb until it is collected.
We will provide updates as we receive more information from Republic Services.
