SAN ANGELO, TX — The Walmart Neighborhood Market at at 5154 Knickerbocker Road has re-opened after closing early yesterday because the city water was unavailable at the location.
Greg Duke, spokesman for the local Walmarts, said the store re-opened earlier today after procuring adequate water.
Duke said the Knickerbocker Road location will be open until 8 p.m. today. Inside, as the store ramps back up after the water was shut off, the bakery is still closed today, Duke said.
Duke said the Walmart Neighborhood Market on Knickerbocker will resume normal hours, 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20. There are two Neighborhood Markets in San Angelo. The other location is at 1852 Sherwood Way in the middle of town. It is on the lower plane of the city water system and did not experience the calamity the location near Bentwood did.
Duke said the Knickerbocker location does have bottled water in limited supply and its shelves of milk were just restocked.
“We are moving pretty quickly to serve this area,” Duke said.
