New San Angelo Subdivisions Coming Soon

SAN ANGELO, TX – Two new, large housing developments are underway in Southwest San Angelo.  The first one is at the corner of Valleyview Blvd. and College Hills Blvd.  Crews began clearing brush and trees off the 45-acre site back in the fall.

According to a large construction site notice, the engineer is Carter-Fentress Engineering, LLC. The development is called the Southland Hills Addition and the operator is Fall Creek, Inc. with a San Angelo address.

According to Carter-Fentress, the land is being developed for single family homes.  The subdivision plat has been approved by the city council.  The project includes 197 lots for houses and townhomes much like the surrounding neighborhoods.

A Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Stormwater Construction General Permit was issued on Sept. 1, 2020.  The permit expires in Aug. 2021.

The San Angelo City Council on Tuesday also annexed just over 18 acres  west of the corner of Dominion Ridge Dr. and Coral Way. That development is an extension of the Twin Oaks subdivision and is also for single family homes.

The subdivision plat for that development has not been approved at this time but includes 51 lots for single family homes according to the report presented to the city council on Tuesday.

This article is at least two months too late!  When did the city sell this property?  We, the people of the neighborhood, heard NOTHING about it, until the bulldozers rolled in & flattened every bush & tree!  Now we have dust & dirt flying everywhere & some very confused deer that have lost their natural habitat.  This city has no idea what a freaking green space could be.
