San Angelo's 'Cadillac King' Recognized

San Angelo, TX – Randall Motors, a Cadillac dealership, auto repair and service center in San Angelo celebrated 50 years of service of its owner, George K. Randall, on Friday morning.

Since opening in 1957, Randall Motors has been a family business since day one. At the age of six, current owner George Randall began working in the dealership for his father doing small tasks here and there.

As time moved on, George moved up the ranks of his father's auto store, eventually assuming the CEO title at Randall Motors.

Throughout his career, Randall says he has been very thankful for many opportunities including the chance to build relationships with new customers, many of whom have been customers for life.

"We have customers to whom we've sold 15 or 20 cars over the years," Randal said.

Randall has also driven some pretty sweet rides, including Mr. Randall's favorite, a 90's model Eldorado Biarritz with a chrome top. Because his life's work has surrounded the Cadillac brand, here locally, he has been nicknamed "The Cadillac King."

On Friday the 'Cadillac King' was presented with a plaque from Cadillac that recognized his 50 years of commitment and service to the company from 1970 to 2020.

Friends and co-workers had a short party for him. Breakfast burritos and carrot cake were served. Randall, who was surprised by the ceremony secretly organized by his team at the dealership, was showered with praise and accolades.

"Probably the greatest thing that has happened here over the years," Randall said, "was that we have been able to provide good jobs to a lot of San Angelo families."
