Annual Feast of Sharing Continues Amid Pandemic

SAN ANGELO, TX – H-E-B and the Concho Valley Food Bank have decided to move forward with their 24th annual Feast of Sharing event amid the coronavirus pandemic.

According to H-E-B, on Oct. 28, this year's H-E-B Feast of Sharing will look different.

"Your Concho Valley Regional Food Bank and H-E-B have partnered together to bring you Feast of Sharing 2020 style." stated the H-E-B press release. "This year H-E-B, Concho Valley Food Bank, and volunteers will be handing out the meals in a no contact, drive-thru distribution."

Normally the Feast of Sharing is held in the Wells Fargo Pavilion. Crowds would typically fill the pavilion to enjoy the Thanksgiving meal together, however due to coronavirus concerns they have decided to make the 2020 Feast of sharing drive-thru only. According to the most recent coronavirus report, Tom Green County has 395 active cases of COVID-19.

“We are blessed to partner with H-E-B to distribute these meals and keep their Feast of Sharing program going during the Thanksgiving season. “ Lee Pipkin, CVRFB Executive
Director.

The event will begin at 4:30pm on Nov. 4 and will run until all meals are served but no later than 7pm at the Coliseum parking lot located at 50 E 43rd Street. It is a first come, first serve basis and the event is free to the public. No ID or registration will be required.

These meals provided by H-E-B are refrigerated prepackaged meals.
