SAN ANGELO, TX – The San Angelo ISD has just announced that it is in search of more bus drivers.
The district is offering a starting salary of $14.75/hr. That’s not all, if hired, new bus drivers will also be able to collect a $500.00 incentive that will be provided in two $250.00 payments.
Bus Drivers Requirements:
Pre-Employment
- Criminal background check by fingerprint
- Acceptable driving record
- Drug test
- Post-Employment
Class B CDL Testing Process
- 4 written tests - general knowledge, air brakes, passenger, school bus
- Complete a pre-trip walk, skills test, and driving test
- Certification
- 20-hour state certification
- First aid/CPR

A similar recruitment incentive will also be available to any current bus drivers, mechanics, or monitors who are able to successfully recruit a certified full-time driver. For each driver they are able to recruit, they will also receive $500.00 provided in two $250.00 payments.
