AUSTIN, TX – According to the Governor’s Office, Gov. Abbott is expected to issue an executive order on Friday that will outline reopening the economy.
According to KTXS, the order will detail how and when Texas businesses will be able to open once again. Abbott stated his focus is on “protecting lives while restoring livelihoods.” KTRK in Houston reported that the governor will release an executive order sometime Friday detailing re-opening plans.
Even if businesses reopen, Gov. Abbott continues urging everyone to continue social distancing measures for the time being. The “essential services” order will remain in effect until April 30.
"We will focus on protecting lives while restoring livelihoods," Abbott said last week. "We can and we must do this. We can do both, expand and restore the livelihoods that Texans want to have by helping them return to work."
Governor Greg Abbott also on Wednesday announced that his Public Safety Office (PSO) will provide $38 million in federal funds to local units of government in Texas. These funds come from the Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program authorized by the federal Emergency Appropriations for Coronavirus Health Response and Agency Operations Act.
Jurisdictions may use this funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus. Allowable projects and purchases include, but are not limited to, overtime, equipment, supplies, training, travel expenses, and addressing the medical needs of inmates in local and tribal jails and detention centers.
"These funds will help our local governments respond to COVID-19 and provide the resources that our communities need," said Governor Abbott. "I am grateful to our federal partners for making this crucial financial support available to the state of Texas."

PermalinkIt is time for the citizens of Tom Green county to revolt if the good governor does not act soon to fully reopen the economy. The Skyisfalling Liberal Media Panic virus has created a pack of mini-tyrants at the local level who are wielding their authority like an unconstitutional cudgel. Enough is enough!!! We don't need government directing our every move. America was established in direct opposition to that concept.....

PermalinkWe've had a lot of revealing events take place over the past few years. All of these years, Harvey Weinstein was a rapist? And Bill "Ghost Dad" Cosby is also a serial rapist? Right in front of our faces? Unfortunately, nothing in that video seems implausible at this point in history except for the spooky music. It frankly wouldn't surprise me if many of our elites were just psychopathic versions of the character "JP" from "Grandma's Boy."

That's a far out video, though. Who could believe that a bunch of rich people join BDSM dungeon country clubs that they use to blackmail politicians and generally screw with people's heads for fun and profit. That's nuts. The MK-Ultra stuff, too.

PermalinkYou're willing to revolt when you become inconvenienced for a few weeks. You're not willing to revolt at the national level when things like abortion are dictated by the supreme court, or when Americans are being taxed for 20-45% of their income. Why not revolt at the fact that pharmaceutical companies are making billionsssss selling the same drugs to people after telling us they are too dangerous to allow for sale by an unlicensed uhhh...pharmacist... Are you leading the uprising? Are the man with the plan? Gonna take Bill Gates out yourself are ya?

It may not be time to roll out the guillotine just yet. We talk about "the government," but what we have to remember is that we're always just dealing with people. Police officers crack puerile jokes and sometimes bleed. CIA agents eat and defecate and experience awkward moments. CEOs live and die and sometimes have flatulence. Governors have lives and families and pressures and have to make judgement calls.
Fortunately, our governor plans to end this nonsense at the end of the month. He was put into this position because some dude with a title at a UN office seems to be taking his cues from China's Yi "Winnie the Pooh" Jinping. The President's people have noticed.
That's a good thing, because life after the kind of depression these measures could cause might not be different from or worse than life after a major revolt, after which things like FDA corruption, government centralization and getting injected and tagged from the final level boss of nerds Bill Gates himself might no longer be major issues.

You can't blame the President for not trusting China or the WHO. Of course, China's leaders don't have to worry about the press being as pushy as they are in the States. "Free speech" doesn't exist there. In fact, if you don't like their totalitarian leftism, they're happy to let you die in protest and laugh about it as being a "Darwin Award":

And they they can't stand the Western-like freedoms of China's citizens in England's old colony of Hong Kong: https://youtu.be/c-AzfXMJkI8
Yes, the President is all too human, and ironically is not only the hope of most of America, but also of many Chinese.

PermalinkRita that is a bold statement, "Yes, the President is all too human, and ironically is not only the hope of most of America, but also of many Chinese." and also false, are not that Trump has a 44% approval, where I went to school 44% is not most or a majority. His corona virus is even lower.

PermalinkThe governor has found himself in a peculiar situation, trying to pacify his base without shooting himself in the foot. If he opens some business types and the CV-19 infections soar upwards then he has shot himself in the foot, and will be thought of as a covidiot. Like Trump with all his boasting up opening up the economy, then he wilted like the blowhard pansy he is, Abbott will do the same and the cabin fever will become more intense. Abbott first opening some business types about a week ago and has done nothing because he fears that the CV-19 will soar and even a few people may die. That won't be good for his record.
Eight years of the Obama administration and not was the entire country shut down and the citizens basically under house arrest. I am tired of this winning! Experience is what you get when you expect one thing but receive something else.
Abbott will wuss out you watch, he may open some insignificant business types but he will not do anything that is of great risk if he is smart and paying attention.
