WALL, TX – Thousands of people flocked to the small town of Wall Sunday for the decades old annual St. Ambrose Catholic Church Festival.
The Catholic Church annual fundraiser includes a meal, an auction, entertainment, sausage sales and much more.
The $10 meal included traditional turkey and dressing, homemade german sausage, green beans, cornbread dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and home made dessert.
The waiting line to dine inside the parish hall was about 30 minutes at times.
The line for plates to go wait was up to 20 minutes at times.
The live auction normally lasts for several hours.
Workers estimate they made at least 9,000 lbs of homemade sausage.
The annual festival is one of the largest in Texas where they feed over 5,000 people in three hours.
Most parishes in the Catholic Diocese of San Angelo have annual festivals including a meal and a live auction.
