SAN ANGELO, TX -- The National Department Store Chain, Bealls, has decided to go a different direction and relaunch as Gordmans.
This is coming after the department store declared bankruptcy in 2017 and was bought out by the company Stage. Since then Bealls has shown improvement in the tough retail industry but has still decided to rebrand.
After a long process, Stage has decided to go with the name Gordmans.
"At Gordmans, we work hard to give our guests a better place to shop – with more fun finds and exciting deals. And that’s great news for you! Expect bigger brands and smaller prices at every turn. And we don’t just say it, we stand behind them with our Lowest Price Guarantee," says the Gordmans' website. "That means you never have to hunt to find your treasures – they’re already at the lowest possible prices. Come see what’s new today! If you love it, buy it – it may not be around tomorrow. Come back often to find out how we’re changing for the better. Here, everything is a big deal."
The store will not open until February 2020 but for now Bealls is have an "everything must go" sale to make room for all of the new items.
