WATCH: US 67 Traffic Lanes Are Now Open Under Bell St. Bridge

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The east and west bound lanes of US 67 are now open under the Bell St. Bridge.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the through lanes opened today.

Both lanes of US 67 under the Bell St Bridge are now open. The bridge itself will remain closed to traffic and pedestrians for now according to TxDOT.

The bridge was damaged on Mother's Day when a big rig carrying a section of wind turbine tower slammed into it.

TxDOT officials expect repairs to the bridge could take up to a year.
