SAN ANGELO, TX -- City water crews have worked tirelessly to repair the water main break on Southland Blvd. and to restore water pressure to Southwest San Angelo.
Here's the update from COSA Public Information Officer Anthony Wilson:
Workers have completed the welding on the 36-inch water main leak on Southland Boulevard, which has impacted water pressure in southwest San Angelo.
Crews are now pouring concrete blocking to stabilize the line so it can be fully pressurized.
The curing of that concrete will occur overnight and into Sunday.
We anticipate the line will be returned to full service by late Sunday.
Once that occurs, hydrants will be flushed throughout the area of lower-than-normal pressure.
We apologize for the inconveniences this has caused.
