San Angelo Gives Raising Millions for Area Nonprofit Agencies Today

SAN ANGELO, TX -- San Angelo Gives is a powerful 24-hour, online giving event that connects the Concho Valley with community nonprofits to reinforce the value of both local philanthropic giving and community engagement.

According to Gus Clemens, the 169 local nonprofits involvement in the event will give members of our community the chance to find and support an organization whose mission aligns with their passion.

In 2018, donors from all corners of the region generated more than 6,900 gifts and pumped more than $1.6 million into supporting local organizations that provide needed services and tack difficult challenges.  San Angelo Gives is one day to give as one.

This year, San Angelo Gives celebrates 5 years of online giving and this event helps transform the Concho Valley and help raise awareness, ignite giving, and provide everyone the opportunity to become a philanthropist to build a vibrant and thriving community.

Im confused???? I like the ideal of the community helping to support their favorite non-profit organizations but in following San Angelo Gives. I see several schools that you have to pay for your child to attend among the other non-profits. Are the considered non-profit since they are associated with a church? Seems like they receive help from both ends of the stick. ( parents pay for the child to go to school and get non-profit exemptions. Interesting.
