Work Force Solutions Hosts First Career Exploration Fair

 

SAN ANGELO, TX – Work Force Solutions hosted their first career exploration fair on Wednesday.

Over 64 vendor booths and career partners on site along with over 250 students from 13 surrounding counties for kids in 8th thru 12th grade. "We have over 64 vendor booths, said Mandee Kennedy the Business Solutions Consultant at Workforce Solutions. Career partners came together with over 250 kids from the 13 surrounding counties that came."

This event was to give kids a better idea on what they can do for their lives. "We've just realized that our unemployment rate is really low right now," Continued Kennedy "What can we do to accommodate that as business service consultants."

 

"We've got an amazing college here. We've got an amazing community college here. We're certifying these kids, but they're moving off to the metroplex because in order to get a good job they think in order to get a good job and make a good career and life that they have to go to the big cities to do that and we have great careers and opportunities here in San Angelo. We're trying to grown them locally.. We're trying to keep them here."
