Construction on Concho St. Expansion Begins Feb. 11

SAN ANGELO, TX -- Reece Albert, Inc. crews will begin construction to widen West Concho Avenue between South Koenigheim and South Randolph streets in San Angelo Monday, Feb. 11.

The project will impact motorists seeking to access First Financial Bank at 222 S. Koenigheim St., the YMCA at 353 S. Randolph St., West Texas Fire & Industrial Supply at 138 W. Concho Ave., and Concho Office Suites at 133 W. Concho Ave. Initially, the intersection of West Concho and Randolph will be completely closed. Drivers should plan to use an alternate route.

Temporary traffic control signage will direct motorists through work zones, which will vary, depending upon construction activities. Construction will intensify as the project progresses and is slated to be complete in the fall.

The project will include a complete rebuild of West Concho from South Randolph to South Koenigheim, new traffic signals at West Concho and South Koenigheim, and replacement of a water line. The local firm Reece Albert is the contractor on the project.
