Long Time College Hills Store Closed

SAN ANGELO, TX -- The convenience store on the corner of College Hills Blvd. and Millbrook Dr. across the street from the dog park has closed after at least 40 years of continuous business.

The 7-Eleven closed back in November and workers cleared out most of the equipment.

The building is owned by Skinny's LLC out of Abilene according to tax records.

We called the 7-Eleven Corporate office for a comment.

The corporate office's only response was that 7-Eleven store no. 104 was a franchise location and not owned by the corporation.

A sign on the door says, "Please come see us at our other locations, 1801 S. Pierce and 4321 Southwest Blvd. Thank you for your years of shopping with us."

The location had been a convenience store since at least the early 1980's.

For some reason I'm finding it difficult to wax nostalgic about a 7-11 convenience store.

@ "Please come see us at our other locations, 1801 S. Pierce and 4321 Southwest Blvd. .."

Let's all rush, teary eyed and heavy hearted to those locations, to experience the warm and fuzzy feelings of price gouging.
