Boil Water Notice for the City of Miles

MILES, TX -- The City of Miles is under a boil water notice after a major water leak led to low water pressure.

According to the City of Miles, due to a water system failure, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the City of Miles Public Water System to notify customers of the need to boil water.

Residents are urged to bring water to a rolling boil and boil for two minutes before consumption.  If boiling water is not an option, residents are urged to purchase bottled water.

A Facebook post by the City of Miles says the major leak has led to low water pressure and calls it a dire situation.

The City of Miles will notify customers once the boil water order is lifted.
