SAN ANGELO, TX-- H-E-B teamed up with the Children's Advocacy Center of Tom Green County to help needy kids get as many toys as they could for the center's Christmas for Kids Campaign.
"We are right in the middle of our Christmas for kids Campaign at the Children's Advocacy Center," said Director of Community Development for the CAC Justin Deloach. "We provide toys for over 450 foster kids so what were getting today at H-E-B is amazing to us and especially at this time of year. These kids are going to get a Christmas present that's going to be one for them to remember."
On Friday three kids were selected to get as many toys as they could in a minute. These kids ran up and down the toy aisle grabbing as many things as they could including toys, school supplies, things for infants, and even cookies and sweets.
"Our public affairs team is looking for organizations that are in need and with this time of year coming up we know it can be tough for these organizations to provide what they need to for these families." said Nick George the Top Store Leader at H-E-B. "Also we want provide a little bit of Christmas spirit and that's a huge point of emphasis for us is for them to be able to enjoy Christmas like everyone else can."
The shopping spree was Friday at the H-E-B at 5502 Sherwood Way.
